On September 26-27, 2024, the picturesque town of Spała hosted another edition of the ANIRO Electric Power Quality Academy. This two-day training brought together engineers, automation specialists, and electricians who sought to expand their knowledge of electric power quality and modern technologies for improving power supply parameters.
The event was an excellent opportunity for experience exchange and acquiring practical skills. The Academy consisted of a theoretical part, where key issues related to power quality measurements, sources of distortions and their impact on devices were discussed, as well as a practical part, during which participants could familiarize themselves with the operation of compensators and active filters.
Academy Program
The first day of the Academy began with an introduction to the topics of harmonics and reactive power compensation. The speakers also presented solutions from ANIRO and conducted a session dedicated to voltage stabilizers and UPS systems. An important highlight was the presentation by Comsys, which addressed issues related to resonance and the effects of harmonics.
The second day featured practical sessions, including parameterization of active filters and sessions focused on protective measurements in electrical installations. Additionally, the presentation by Sunwoda introduced modern energy storage technologies, which generated significant interest among participants.
Networking and Collaboration
The Electric Power Quality Academy was not just a training session but also an excellent opportunity for networking. Participants had the chance to exchange experiences during coffee breaks and at a formal dinner held after the first day of training. This event fostered discussions about the challenges faced by industry professionals and allowed for the sharing of practical solutions.
