Power quality defines the compliance of supply voltage parameters (sine wave shape, 50Hz frequency, 230V/400V RMS value) with applicable standards (EN 50160), ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment. Key indicators include voltage stability, lack of harmonic distortion, phase symmetry, and continuity of supply.
