SVG active compensator for reactive power is a power electronics device. Its task is to compensate inductive and capacitive reactive power, using a single module. Fast response, below 10 ms, for dynamic changes of cos (φ) values, ensures maintaining the preset power factor parameter, individually in each phase, and reduction of flicker caused by dynamic changes of load induced by reactive power. Advanced control algorithms protect the device against overload and eliminate current resonance. Modular design enables very quick and convenient expansion, in case of increased power demand.
