The system controls a group of valves that allow water to flow into tanks where pressure is generated for presses. Each of the ten valves works in conjunction with one of the ten pumps and opens only when the corresponding pump is operating. The system determines the number of valves to be controlled at any given moment based on the water level measurement in the tanks. To ensure even wear of the pumps, rotational operation of the valves is implemented. A given valve is opened for a specified period of time, after which it is closed and replaced by the next one in the sequence.
